Examples:
| This video is an example of pathos. They use a person's emotional connection with their child and uses that to persuade to quit smoking. This ad is using pathos by showing pictures of sad animals. They are trying to emotionally affect a person and get them to adopt an animal or donate money. This commercial is an example of pathos and ethos. The beginning uses pathos but when they show Eminem it becomes ethos. This is because they are showing credibility. They are showing that Eminem uses their car so it must be good. This ad is using ethos because they are showing that the Olympian athletes trust that products. They are a credible source that is backing their chicken nuggets. This commercial is using logos because it gives facts about the soup. It shows which ingredients are in each of the soups and also tells how many calories there are. When the ad says by how much percent it reduces plaque and gingivitis, that is using logos. They are using facts to get people to buy their toothpaste. |
